It has been some time since I blogged. Since the last blog I have painted the living room, dining room, and hallway. I had horrendous paint from the previous tenants. The hallway paint was chocolate brown. Two walls in the living room were dark dark blue and the rest of the walls were a dark khaki color. I painted over it with card 521 at Walmart. :) Basically, the chocolate brown got covered with "manila". The blue with "nutmeg frost" and the khaki with "toasted coconut". Now I only need one light on in the house to see all of the walls. And, the house looks so much bigger. It took me 12 hours from start to finish. I had to prime all of the walls and the brown and blue got two coats. Went thru 2 cans of primer. About 3 hours into the work I sat on the stool thinking "WHAT THE HELL WAS I THINKING!!!?" Now that it is done I'm happy I did it. I'm looking forward to Fathead coming home to see the beautiful walls.
Now that the walls are painted I'm gonna rearrange the garage for Fatheads dojo. He is way into martial arts and is currently instructing guys in Iraq. I got rid of an elliptical and two bar stools. The elliptical made my foot hurt (I have plantar faciitis on my left foot). I keep putting off the garage cause it has been unseasonably warm this winter and the bugs are already out. I'm gonna have to wear serious shoes for spider squashing. I might just wait until the day after Surety Pest Control comes by. That way I'm not dealing with as many living buggies. GUH-ROSS!
My partner in crime was in Medford for a week. That was pretty tough, but today, her first day back, we went to Walmart and then got pedis. I have Dayglo orange on my toes. :) I could land planes with them. Here's something for ya...I miss Okinawa and the pedis I'd get there. They would cost about $35, but you'd get 1.5 hours of massaging and treatment. Then, you'd look through a dozen books for the art you wanted. They'd do each toe so beautifully you'd stare at them all the time. When we came back I had my toes painted with Easter scenes. The bunnies and baskets were so well-done that you could tell what they were on my PINKY toe. You can't get that kind of service in America for that price. Too bad...since that salon would get some crazy amounts of business.
Oh, then throw in that I tried to go off my allergy med (Flonase), but now I've got a plugged up nose, sore throat, and cough. UGH! So, I'm sick. Stupid meds. Now I'm going back on the Flonase cause I can't live as a mouth-breather. :( Thank goodness Fathead isn't here. When he gets sick I have to listen to the whining and complaining. Makes me want to crush up a narcotic into some pudding to knock him out for a few days.
PupPupMagee has "class" on Friday. I'm looking forward to working on some new material. He hasn't done as well at some of the lessons as others, but he is good at the ones that matter. Right now he is zonked out in the hallway. He did really well when I was painting. He slept in the guest room and master room for most of the day. When he did come out to check on me, he'd sleep on the couch.
Oh, big news! Fathead's mother has sent him another hateful, neurotic, psychopathic letter. After that he has given me permission to post all of her letters on the net. So, keep your eyes peeled for the MIL/DIL saga. After I have them fully posted I'll send out a Facebook notice. :) HEHEH! Boy, if only she knew! But, sometimes you can't change your bad habits until someone shows you that you have them.
Well, I'm out of Kleenex so I'm gonna go find a roll of tp. I hate being sick!!!!
