Today was not that busy, but there is still hope for tonight. :) I'm thinking about cleaning up around this place. I keep a tidy home, but when you have a huge dog, well, things get a bit furry. Right now he's laying in the hallway between my bedroom and the living room. He wants to be in the one area of the house that sees all. He's a nut.
I paid the rent today. Nothing like handing over a large chunk of our income. However, I was excited when the receptionist mentioned how beautiful the check was. I bought checks that have pictures of the temples on them. I was excited to pay my rent last month since I hoped she would notice, but it was a temp and she didn't. Oh well. She noticed today and it was a great opportunity to spread the gospel in my own way. I don't even know which temple it was.
I even got to go to Walmart, only one of the best stores around (up there with Costco and Bath & Body Works). I got new dogfood. Hopefully it doesn't give Pup Pup Magee the poops. Nothing like an every-two-hours wake up. And the gas was horrid. Could peel the paint off the walls. I remember waking up in the middle of the night fully expecting a pile in the room. But, nope, nothing. He does pretty good on that. I used to be able to say he never pottied in the house...until I saw my sister, Corky. I had to eat my words then.
My favorite part of the day, by far, is when Fathead calls. He is on the day shift right now and calls late in the evening. I love hearing his voice. It is like a verbal hug. I love the way we have an ongoing game of "I love you more". I think we are tied for now. Fathead said that when the day shift guy gets back he'll be going back to the night shift. That worries me since the night shift is busier than the day. No matter what, I keep him on the prayer roll and I pray for him constantly. Every now and then I like to watch a video he sent me from San Diego. It is on my phone. It is good to see his face and hear him telling me how much he misses me and loves me. Even though he sent that message to me in August, it stands true for today.
I did finish "Dear John". It is a good book. Well written. My only complaint? Read the book and tell me what it is. :)
I know that my days seem boring to the "untrained" eye, but really, I try to see them as one day closer to when Fathead gets home.
